A good judge must be fair, impartial, and unbiased. The judge must be knowledgeable, yet willing to learn and adapt to changes in the law, policy and procedures. A good judge understands the importance of listening and the power of effective communication. A good judge should treat every person who appears before the court with dignity and respect. Most importantly a judge must adhere to the law and make rulings consistent with the Constitution. On June 7, 2019 I took a solemn oath to do just that. I was afforded the opportunity to serve as a District Court Judge in Wake County, North Carolina by virtue of Governor Roy Cooper’s decision to appoint me to an open seat for Judicial District 10B.
Now, after nearly four years of dutiful service, I am seeking your support to become a duly elected District Court Judge for District 10B in Wake County, North Carolina. Your support will help to ensure that the people of North Carolina who find themselves in Wake County District Court have the benefit of a good judge who wakes up every day with a commitment to service, a heart for all people, and dedication to the rule of law. We should never settle for less.
